The S4IF Network and Enerjisa Enerji to Announce Joint Initiative on Green and Digital Skills Development in Türkiye’s Energy Sector

The Green and Digital Skills Development in the Turkish Energy Sector Joint Initiative Announcement Event

Ankara, 14 November 2025 — The Skills for an Inclusive Future (S4IF) Network and Enerjisa Enerji will announce their Joint Initiative on Green and Digital Skills Development in Türkiye’s Energy Sector at an event to be held in Ankara

Türkiye’s energy sector is at a pivotal moment. Over the past decade, the country has tripled its renewable electricity generation, now accounting for over half of its installed power capacity. This transformation positions the energy sector as a key driver of green growth. Yet, the swift adoption of new technologies demands a workforce with advanced green and digital skills—something traditional education systems are struggling to deliver, especially for women, youth, and refugees. Without targeted action, the skills gap risks deepening inequality and slowing the sector’s progress.

The S4IF Network and Enerjisa Enerji aims to respond to this challenge by establishing a Joint Initiative on ‘the Green and Digital Skills Development in the Turkish Energy Sector’. As a part of this initiative, a research report is prepared to offer a comprehensive, evidence-based roadmap for building an inclusive, skilled, and resilient energy workforce. Developed through extensive stakeholder engagement and rigorous analysis, the report presents actionable recommendations to bridge the skills gap and ensure that Türkiye’s energy workforce is competitive in the global transition.

The upcoming initiative will address this challenge by providing technical support to Enerjisa Enerji and fostering inclusive workforce development. As part of the event, a research report will be presented, offering an evidence-based roadmap to build a skilled and resilient energy workforce. The report will include actionable recommendations to ensure Türkiye’s energy sector remains competitive in the global green transition.

Agenda Highlights:

  • Opening remarks by representatives from the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Treasury and Finance, EBRD, UNDP Türkiye, and Enerjisa Enerji
  • Panel discussion on advancing green and digital skills in the energy sector
  • Presentation of the research report and key recommendations
  • Q&A and reflections

The event will convene policymakers, private sector leaders, and experts to discuss strategies for building an inclusive, future-ready energy workforce and to chart a collaborative path forward for advancing green and digital skills development in Türkiye’s energy sector.
